Musicians on ‘The Artist’

Zoli Soós is an all-round musician, educator and producer. He has made a number of albums, among which Acquire The Taste (2011) by Vinsky Project and more recently ‘HET LEVEN = NU’ by Publiek Geheim. Zoli plays drums and synthesizer on ‘The Artist’.

Ratko Zjaca is a renowned contemporary guitarist, performer, composer, recording artist and educator. He has made a high number of jazz records with, among others, Reggie Workman, Al Foster, Stan Mitrovic, Randy Brecker, Simone Zanchini, Adam Nussbaum, John Riley and Steve Gadd. Ratko plays solo guitar on eight tracks of ‘The Artist’.

Bart Tarenskeen is a highly regarded jazz musician. He has three albums to his credit, and has shared the stage with dozens of great musicians, among which Benjamin Herman, Erik Vloeimans, John Abercrombie, Philippe Catherine, Toots Tielemans and Randy Brecker. Bart plays the upright bass on ‘The Artist’.

Jan Gerritsen has an excellent track record in the world of jazz. He has played on a high number of albums, worked as guest soloist in big bands and combo’s, and is a highly valued saxophone teacher and composer. As a member of jazz formation Shebop, Jan enjoyed winning first prize during VPRO Jazz Concourse (1999). Jan plays saxophone on ‘The Artist’.
